After updating Earth's CO2 Home Page for more than a year, Michael McGee recognized the need to balance the 'what is' with 'what should be' and 'how can we achieve it?' 

The relentless, accelerating rise of atmospheric CO2 makes humanity and civilization unsustainable.   Leading climate scientists show that atmospheric Co2 must return quickly to safe levels of less than 350 parts per million "if we are to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted."  

Humanity is struggling to fix these problems.    Despite having adequate science, resources and technologies available, much more work is needed if we are to achieve sustainability on a planetary scale.    Pro Oxygen is committed to finding new ways  for people, companies and organizations to contribute to real world solutions. 

Michael launched Pro Oxygen as a part-time, social business from his home in Victoria, Britsh Columbia, Canada.   He is married with two school-aged boys.   Michael is a policy and communications manager for a government tribunal in British Columbia.  This work is unrelated to climate change or the environment.
